Meet Mrs. Streun

Caleb is my son.  He is three years old and "my sunshine."

I have been teaching at Hopewell for twelve years.  I have taught first grade for eleven years.  It is so fulfilling to see how much the students learn in first grade.  It is a very exciting time for children and parents!  As a teacher, I believe my classroom should be structured, inviting, challenging, and fun.  I use different learning methods to meet the individual needs of my students.  Communication and parental involvement are the keys for a child's success in school, so I strongly encourage both in my classroom.  I tell my students that they have two jobs to do everyday...to listen and to do their best.  I want them to believe in themselves and DREAM BIG!
