Meet the Teacher

| Dear Students, Welcome to 5th grade. I am very excited about being your teacher. I know that we will learn a lot this year. I believe that learning should be fun and exciting, and I want you to know that I will expect a lot from each of you this year. I graduated from UTC and have a Master's Degree from Tusculum College. This is my twelfth year of being a teacher at Hopewell School. I have taught an after school enrichment math class for ten years and enjoy teaching all the subjects, but math is probably my favorite. I also enjoy helping my students choose books to read. We have a big bookshelf full of books in our classroom. My favorite sport is tennis, but I am also a big UT football fan. At home, I have a little boy, Stephen, who is seven years old and a little girl, Anna Elizabeth, who is four years old. Maybe Stephen and Anna Beth will get to come to visit our class this year. I know they would like to meet all of you. We also have a little Boxer named Maggie. I am looking forward to this school year. I love my job and there isn't any other occupation that I would rather have. You are all very special to me. Love, Mrs. Elliott
