Card Pulling System |
|
The behavior management system used in my classroom
gives students a visual representation of their behavior
for the day. Students will receive both positive
and negative reinforcement. If a student
chooses to break a rule, he or she will receive a
consequence for that behavior. On the other hand,
if a student demonstrates kindness or displays good
character, he or she will be rewarded for that behavior. |

Each child is assigned a group of color-coded cards on
the behavior chart. Behavior Card colors are as
follows: GREAT Green,
OKAY Orange,
YUCKY Yellow,
ROWDY Red, and
PRINCIPAL Purple. All
students begin each day on "Okay Orange," and based on
their behavior, the color of the card may change
throughout the day. If a student chooses to
disobey a rule, he or she will receive a warning.
If misbehavior continues, the student will be asked to
move his or her card to the appropriate color (yellow,
then red, and finally purple.) When students are
"caught" demonstrating kindness or good character, they
will move their card to green.
