Welcome to my classroom! Eleven years ago I became a teacher at Hopewell Elementary and I have been blessed every day since by the faculty, staff, and  children of this school.   I strongly believe that each child is special, has talents, and can succeed in the classroom. It is my desire to help my students prepare for middle school, but even more so for the life ahead of them.  We will continue to focus on reading comprehension and fluency by using reading stations for at least 90 minutes per day. Also, each day of the week features a theme which you can see on our daily schedule page. Fifth grade students take in addition to the regular TCAP the TCAP writing assessment. This takes place the first week of February. Writing Wednesdays will be full of practice for this assessment. I also utilize technology in our daily lessons. Students will work together to accomplish tasks. Through working together, we will be able to achieve wonderful things.
