Miss Jana Cody

This is my first year teaching.  I graduated from Lee University in May of 2007 where I received my B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have received a great foundation from Lee and have had many opportunities in the classroom.  I can say that this is truly what I was meant to do.  My mission as a teacher is to help your child gain a positive sense of self-worth and self-esteem.  I am committed to helping your child reach his/her full potential and to be successful both academically as well as socially.  Teaching is truly a work of heart and something that I put my heart into. I believe your child deserves a teacher who is willing to give them the respect and patience they deserve.  In turn, I desire the same respect and cooperation from your child. I am looking forward to a great year, getting to know and learn with your child.  Hopewell Elementary holds a special place in my heart because it is where I attended elementary school from kindergarten to 6th grade.  I have so many wonderful memories from this time in my life.  I hope that this is a year that allows your child to make his/her own memories.   Being a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl.  I am thrilled that this dream has finally come true.
